The nitty-gritty stuff
If it’s made of twig or wood, leave it alone. This does not mean you can make a twig or wooden base and not upgrade. If you spot a wooden/twig base that has been sitting for more than a few days, ask the admin for permission to raid it. As soon as any part of a base is upgraded to stone or above, it is considered raidable.
You may not grief, take over, or foundation wipe anyone's base. You may not build unnecessarily onto anyone's base while raiding. You may place doors while raiding, but they must be removed or unlocked upon raid completion.
Teams (whether solo or not) are only allowed ONE BASE where all loot is stored. You can have as many bases as you want just with no stored loot except for what’s in tool cupboard for upkeep. Horses, boats, and cars are not considered loot. You won't get in trouble for having a 2x2 next to excavator for storing resources while you mine.
You must have a raidable base to start raiding. A raid is when you start destroying a base that is not yours. Once started, the entire area surrounding the base being raided is an active PvP zone. Any player present in the area being raided may be killed and looted. It is every player's responsibility to be aware of your surroundings and avoid raids if you are not intending to counter.
Being "inside" the monument is defined as being on or within an element not found in the natural Rust world (e.g., on concrete, inside walls or fences, etc.). You may not fire or snipe into monuments while outside of them, and you may not fire at a player from inside once they have exited the monument. “SuperMarket” and “Gas Station'' are considered safe zones.
The PvP zone extends outward approximately 1 grid square (roughly 150m) in all directions. Players are encouraged to fire a warning shot at approaching vehicles to alert them the monument is occupied, and only proceed to PvP if they persist in their approach.
Outside is defined as outside your base with no fully enclosed walls OR outside your fully closed walls. If you have something outside your base such as a furnace, oil refinery, minicopter, or water catcher, it is your responsibility to guard it. Guarding externally placed items is not grounds to kill on sight, place traps, or “bait“ players.
Once the airdrop/crate disappears, PvP must stop. You may not leave an airdrop/crate on the ground for the purpose of extending PvP, and you must remove all items from the airdrop/crate when you reach it, even if you just throw the items you don't want on the ground.
If a player does the following with any other player(s); living in the same base, pooling of resources, raiding together, or completing monuments together are considered to be in a team. If it is discovered that players are not following this rule, the Base Limits rule will be enforced.
A downed helicopter is a PvP zone until the boxes have been looted and the helicopter body mined. If the helicopter lands within a monument, PvP never stops.
Cannot be placed anywhere outside of your compound. You can place turrets on your roof provided they do not shoot players on the ground or outside of your walls.
All SAM sites need to be marked on the map with a vending machine "NO FLY ZONE." They must be placed on your MAIN base or within your MAIN compound.
Don't worry; this is public information.
